Currently a hot topic of connecting smart TVs to the Internet, to take advantage of all the „smart“ features. To do this you need a Smart TV with LAN port or a WiFi adapter. If the specification says WiFi ready TVs, it means that you need to dedicate additional amount of money for a WiFi dongle for smart TV and your TV does not have built-in WiFi adapter, only an option to purchase more the same. It’s WiFi USB adaptrer who branded television manufacturer and sold at prices ranging from EUR 50, or larger, must admit, a bit cheeky price. Note that you can not use any WiFi adapter, but only the one who sells the manufacturer.
What is the alternative?
Our recommendation is to buy Access Point device (about EUR 20), instead of the USB WiFi adapter. In this way, Smart TV will think that you connect the network cable and all is according to the protocol.
Advisable to take at least N-Lite 150Mbps Access Point, so you can make the stream HD movies through the WiFi network.
Access Point set to Access Point Client mode and connect to the wireless network to transmit your WiFi router.
– If your TV is equipped with WiFi adapter, connecting through the options to select your WiFi network and eventually enter the password, if the network is protected.
If Smart TV has a problem with taking the IP address of the router, you can manually enter the IP parameters:
For example, if the router is the IP address of 192.168.1.1, enter the following parameters
IP: 192.168.1.200
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1
DNS: 8.8.8.8
Proxy OFF
To use Skype and video calls, you need a camera.
Networked Team wishes you a pleasant use of Smart TV.
